On a current Saturday morning, I spent 27 minutes of my life waiting in line to mail a small bundle on the local Put up Office. That point could have been put to significantly better use. Amongst other issues, I could have visited a sick good friend, weeded a flower mattress, blended up a bunch of brownies, referred to as my Mom, or made button-holes for my husband’s new pajamas.

True, it was post office hours saturday. Not exactly one of the best day for mailing chores, but Saturday is the one day many working folks have an opportunity to get there. To make issues worse, this specific Submit Workplace is open only from 10-12 on Saturday mornings, and, for some purpose, had only one window open to serve about 30 customers. I assume I ought to feel lucky that they trouble to open at all as I hear that Saturday service has already been cancelled in many places. Read the rest of this entry »
